Dec. 1 event honored businesses that soar
At a gala dinner on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Kentucky International Convention Center, three companies, one nonprofit organization and two individuals received the Business First Eagle Award of Excellence at the inaugural Business First Business of the Year Awards.
The judges made their decisions based on a variety of factors. They examined nominated companies' recent financial performance, milestones, new products or services, increases in market share, major new clients and any other accomplishments.
They also looked at how these companies deal with their customers and employees and at the contributions they make to the community at large.
Blendex Company was chosen the winner of the small business category.
